Activation is easy, follow these steps:
- On the device where you want to install the eSIM data plan, open the Camera app.
- Point the camera at the QR code. Tap the notification that appears, which should say: Cellular plan detected – Tap this to see a preview of the cellular plan.
- On the following screen, follow the instructions to install the new data plan. Usually, the default options can be accepted.
- Once the new data plan is added, make sure Data Roaming is turned on in your phone's settings under Cellular Data for the new eSIM plan. Note that your eSIM plan/label may read "Primary", "Travel" or "Secondary/Personal".
Connection to the Internet
After successfully activating your eSIM, your device will immediately start searching for a signal. In most cases, a data connection will be established immediately and the signal status will show 4G/LTE/5G. This means you are connected and ready to go!
In rare cases, it may take up to 15 minutes for a data connection to be established. Please be patient as there are many circumstances that can affect the activation time.
